Understanding Mental Illness and Treatment
Dear faculty, students, and staff,

As in universities, schools, and communities everywhere, people in our community face mental health issues.

Working with members of the community, we aim to address these in the most caring, attentive, and compassionate way we possibly can.

I’d like to ask that everyone take a few minutes and read this document. We want to remove the unfortunate stigma surrounding mental illness and ensure that everyone who needs help receives it.

A starting point is for all of us to be educated about what mental illness is, what it isn’t, and what we can do about it.

Warmest wishes,
Craig Pearson, MUM Executive Vice-President
